Announcing the Spring 2023 Classes and Workshops!

The Poetry Center is delighted to announce the Spring 2023 classes and workshops, an exciting mix of craft sessions, generative poetry studios, and rigorous seminars for working writers--at all levels. Registration opens for all of our classes on December 13 at 10am.

We're also pleased to announce the continuation of the Arnold Greenfield Scholarship program. Through donor support, each season we offer four full scholarships that cover the tuition cost of a course in the Classes & Workshops program. The scholarships are valued anywhere from $100 (for a single-session craft class) to $300 (for a multi-session workshop), according to recipient interest. Application is simple, and any community member is eligible to apply for a scholarship if they can attest to personal financial need. Selection is by lottery. We are accepting applications now and through Dec. 6th at 5pm, so please spread the word to working writers for whom tuition would otherwise be a prohibitive financial strain.

The seven courses this season include:

Deep Listening & Sounding with Roberto Tejada  Wednesday, January 11, 5:30-7:30pm

Documentary Poetics v. American History: Beyond Critical Race Theory to See Reality with Tyehimba Jess Wednesday February 8, 5:00-7:00pm
