We are proud to present a reading by Jay Hopler and Kimberly Johnson. 

Jay Hopler is the author of three books of poetry, most recently Still Life (McSweeney’s, 2022). Hopler’s last book, The Abridged History of Rainfall, was a finalist for the 2016 National Book Award in Poetry. He directs the Creative Writing Program at University of South Florida.

Kimberly Johnson is the author of four collections of poetry, most recently Fatal (Persea Books, 2022).  Her book-length translations of classical poetry include Virgil's Georgics: A Poem of the Land (Penguin Classics, 2009) and the works of Hesiod (Northwestern University Press, 2017).  Recipient of grants and awards from the Guggenheim Foundation and the National Endowment for the Arts, she has recent work in Crazyhorse and Best American Poetry 2020.
