To celebrate the new Brave Books theme, ¡Cuentos del Mundo!, the Poetry Center K-12 team is excited to debut a monthly Bilingual Storytime hour this fall.
¡Cuentos del Mundo! celebrates the Bilblioteca de México in Mexico City, and focuses on Mexican literature and folklore, and stories loved all over the world like fables, fairytales, legends, and more.
Join us on second Saturdays this September through December from 10:00 to 11:00am. We will gather in the children’s area to read stories in English and Spanish and invite children from infancy through third grade and their families to attend. This event is free, open to the public, and no registration is required.

If you’ve never been to the Poetry Center, you can find the children’s area by looking for the story-themed mural, created by Adelynn Olea, of Alleycat Murals. The Poetry Center is located at 1508 E Helen St, Tucson, AZ 85719, on the corner of Vine Avenue and Helen Street. Parking on at the University is free on Saturdays for street parking and on non-garage, uncovered surface lots. Para celebrar el nuevo tema de Brave Books, ¡Cuentos del Mundo!, el equipo del Poetry Center K-12 se complace en presentar una hora mensual de Cuentacuentos Bilingüe este otoño.
¡Cuentos del Mundo! celebra la Biblioteca de México en la Ciudad de México y se centra en la literatura y el folclore mexicano, así com en historias amadas en todo el mundo, como fábulas, cuentos de hadas, leyendas y más.
Acompáñenos el segundo sábado de cada mes, de septiembre a diciembre, de 10:00 a 11:00 h. Nos reuniremos en el área infantil para leer cuetnos en inglés y español. Invitamos a niños desde bebés hasta tercer grado y sus familias a participar. Este evento es gratuito, abierto al público y no requiere inscripción.
