Roque Raquel Salas Rivera

 

Roque Raquel Salas Rivera (él/ elle) es un poeta, educador y traductor puertorriqueño de experiencia trans. En 2018, fue nombrado Poeta Laureado de la ciudad de Filadelfia. Salas Rivera es el autor de seis poemarios, entre ellos antes que isla es volcán/ before island is volcano (Beacon Press, 2022), ganador del Premio Juan Felipe Herrera; x/ex/exis (University of Arizona Press, 2021), ganador del Premio Ambroggio; while they sleep (under the bed is another country) (Birds, LLC, 2019), la inspiración para el título de la exhibición no existe un mundo poshuracán: Puerto Rican Art in the Wake of Hurricane Maria en el Museo Whitney; y lo terciario/ the tertiary (2da ed. Noemi Press, 2019), que fue semifinalista para el Premio Nacional del Libro (EE.UU.) y ganó el Premio Literario Lambda a una obra transgénero.

Roque Raquel Salas Rivera (he/they) is a trans poet, translator, and editor from Mayagüez, Puerto Rico. In 2018, he was named poet laureate of Philadelphia.
