Luci Tapahonso is Diné and a Professor of American Indian Studies and English. She is the author of  five books of poetry including Blue Horses Rush In, which was awarded the Mountain and Plains Booksellers Association's 1998 Award for Poetry. She has also written three children's books, and her work has appeared in many print and media productions in the U.S. and internationally. Her poems have been translated into German, Italian and French. Professor Tapahonso teaches courses in American Indian Literature and Creative Writing.
