
Laura Tohe is Dine and the author/coeditor of five books of poetry: Making Friends with Water; No Parole Today; Sister Nations: Native American Women Writers on Community; Dancing with the Wind; and Tseyi’, Deep in the Rock. She wrote a commissioned libretto, Enemy Slayer, for the Phoenix Symphony Orchestra, which premiered in Phoenix in 2008. She won the Arizona Book Association’s Glyph Award for Best Book and Best Poetry for Tseyi’, Deep in the Rock in 2007. She was a 2009 nominee for the Arizona Art Award. She teaches at Arizona State University.
