Julie Johnson

Senior Library Specialist

As Senior Library Specialist, Julie Swarstad Johnson manages the daily operations of the Poetry Center Library. She provides reference services, orders and processes new books and periodicals, works with library volunteers, runs the Shop Talk program and exhibitions program, and coordinates voca, the Poetry Center's online audio video library. 

She holds an MFA in poetry from Penn State and a BA in creative writing and anthropology from the University of Arizona. She is the author of the poetry chapbook Jumping the Pit. Her first full-length poetry collection, Pennsylvania Furnace, is forthcoming from Unicorn Press in 2019.
