Fady Joudah received the Yale Series for Younger Poets for The Earth in the Attic. His most recent poetry collections, Alight and Textu, are from Copper Canyon Press. Textu, a book-long sequence, was composed on cellphone to the meter of character count. Joudah's translations from the Arabic have earned him a PEN prize and the Griffin International Poetry prize. His latest translation is Amjad Nasser's travel memoir poem, Petra: the Concealed Rose. Fady Joudah is a practicing physician of Internal Medicine in Houston, TX. He is a Guggenheim fellow in poetry.
