Eleanor Wilner is the author of nine books of poetry, most recently Before Our EyesNew and Selected Poems, 1975-2017 (Princeton U. Press); Tourist in Hell (U. of Chicago Press) and Gone to Earth: Early & Uncollected Poems 1964-1975 (Crooked Hearts/Red Hen Press); and a book on visionary imagination: Gathering the Winds (Johns Hopkins U. Press). She is currently a Chancellor of the Academy of American Poets, was the 2019 Frost Medal recipient of the Poetry Society of America for lifetime achievement; other awards include the Juniper Prize, three Pushcart Prizes and fellowships from the MacArthur Foundation and the NEA .
