Amanda Meeks is an interdisciplinary artist, librarian, educator, and end-of-life doula. Their creative practice includes creating zines and book art about love/grief, life/death, and feminist care. As a librarian, Amanda engages the community around DIY publishing through their zine bike, known as Outspokin’ & Bookish, and zine library pop-ups. As an end-of-life doula, they offer grief support, pre-planning or advance directives, and creative legacy projects. There is not a day these activities and titles don’t bleed into each other.
