Poet, essayist, and University of Arizona professor emeritus Boyer Rickel leads a Shop Talk on the poetry of Mark Doty, who reads for the Poetry Center in Tucson on October 1 and at the Phoenix Art Museum on October 2.

Shop Talks take a “round table” approach to scholarly investigation of poetic works. Each Shop Talk begins with a mini-lecture on the featured author, followed by a conversation about the author and the work. No advance knowledge of the poet or works discussed is required.
