Presented by the Southern Arizona Chapter of the American Institute of Architects and co-sponsored by the Poetry Center, Architecture Week is a celebration of architecture in Tucson designed to educate, entertain and raise public awareness and appreciation for architecture.
All lectures will be hosted in the Dorothy Rubel Room of the Helen S. Schaefer Building at 1508 E. Helen Street (at Vine) in Tucson, on the University of Arizona campus.

Architecture without Program
Bill Mackey, architect at Rob Paulus Architects and co-founder of design co*op, and a worker with Worker, Inc., will explore the human connection to built and natural environments and offers a fresh perspective on our relationship with place, history, and culture. Most of his inquiries are not about the production of architecture, but rather a commentary on it that engages the public, academic, and professional fields.

MAPP’s MODERN 50-HOUSES
The Modern Architecture Preservation Project's MODERN 50-HOUSES program has identified 50 exceptional homes built in Tucson during the mid-20th century. Five of these houses will be open during the Architecture Week Architecture Tour, but this is a rare opportunity to see images of many more of these amazing houses from Tucson's past. - Chris Evans, MAPP
