Eric Magrane is a poet and geographer, the first Poet in Residence at the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum, and the founding editor of Spiral Orb, an experiment in permaculture poetics. He is also co-editor, with Christopher Cokinos, of The Sonoran Desert: A Literary Field Guide (University of Arizona Press, 2016), and is currently completing his Ph.D. in geography at UA. Past courses he has taught for the Poetry Center include “Climate Change & Poetry,” “Ecopoetics,” “Birds & Poems” (with Simmons B. Buntin), and “Poetry Goes for a Hike” (with Wendy Burk).
