The Writing Life: Making Time When You Have None

University of Arizona Poetry Center presents
Tucson Festival of Books 2011 Writing Workshops

At the Tucson Festival of Books, the University of Arizona presents three dynamic writing workshops. Experienced writers and teachers will share writing techniques, discuss their personal experiences of the writing life, and offer you invitations to get in touch with your innate creativity. Our panelists include instructors from the Poetry Center’s community Classes and Workshops program, and faculty of the University of Arizona Creative Writing program.

These events, like all Festival events, are free and open to the public. Questions? Contact Cybele Knowles at knowles@email.arizona.edu, or 520-626-1185.

In this panel, authors will discuss the (creative) ways in which they balance hectic schedules and still find time to write. How does a writer find time to write when balancing a full-time job at work and at home? Here we’ll look at strategies to help busy writers effectively manage their writing time, as well as provide “on-the-go” writing exercises for those moments when all you can spare is a quarter-hour or less.
