
The Distinguished Visitors in Creative Writing Series, curated by faculty of the Creative Writing Program at the University of Arizona, presents a reading by Rodrigo Restrepo Montoya and Fernando Flores.
Rodrigo Restrepo Montoya is a fiction and architecture writer living in the Sonoran Desert. He is the author of The Holy Days of Gregorio Pasos. His work has also appeared in The Kenyon Review, The Offing, DIAGRAM, Triangle House Review, and Joyland. He received an MFA from the University of Wisconsin–Madison, and was a finalist for the 2025 DAG Prize for Literature.
Fernando A. Flores is the author of the collections Death to the Bullshit Artists of South Texas and Valleyesque and the novel Tears of the Trufflepig, which was longlisted for the Center for Fiction First Novel Prize and named a best book of 2019 by Tor.com. His fiction has appeared in the Los Angeles Review of Books Quarterly, American Short Fiction, Ploughshares, Frieze, Porter House Review, and elsewhere.
