The Poetry Out Loud National Recitation Contest is a program for high school teachers and students that seeks to foster the next generation of literary readers by capitalizing on the latest trends in poetry: recitation and performance. For more information, click here. 

To participate in the 2011 Poetry Out Loud state competition, register your school at www.azarts.gov/pol. Online registration will be open August 22 - October 31, 2011. Once registered, schools located in Southern Arizona should contact Renee Angle at angler@email.arizona.edu to learn more about the many resources and opportunities available to them.
