Together we’ll examine haiku and haiku-based poetry from Basho to Kerouac to Pound to Ban’ya Natsuishi. We’ll explore where the sacred and irreverent collide and consider the possibilities of the haiku sensibility in our own work. Be prepared to experiment and generate new poems using inspiration from sensory stations and word-sketching.
