Saturday, January 29, 2022 - 9:00am to 1:00pm

Join us on Tumamoc Hill for the public launch of Future Climate Proverbs, a collaboration with environmental artist Jonathon Keats and the Desert Laboratory on Tumamoc Hill.
- From 9-1pm, CREAM Design and Print will be hosting a live silkscreening at the Tumamoc boathouse at the base of the hill. 200 shirts are available for free on a first-come, first-served basis, and participants will be able to silkscreen weather proverbs in English, Spanish, and Tohono O'odham created by artists/poets Jonathon Keats, Raquel Gutiérrez, and Ofelia Zepeda. You can also bring your own light-colored blank materials to be printed! Natural fabrics work best.
- From 11-1pm, join environmental artist Jonathon Keats for weather proverb drop-in workshops in the Tumamoc boathouse, exploring and creating your own weather proverbs.
- Throughout the day, and ongoing, find new installations of open-ended proverbs along the Tumamoc walking path etched into large slate tiles. Walkers are invited to complete open-ended proverbs about local weather conditions they observe with the provided chalk.
