First Meeting of "Oracular Writing: Foraging"

SOLD OUT. To be placed on the waiting list, email Cybele Knowles at knowles@email.arizona.edu.

Taught by Annie Guthrie
Six Saturdays, September 6 through October 11
11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Tuition: $170

Foragers know their territory, are willing and curious collectors, and are fearless seekers and pathfinders.  Borrowing from behavioral ecology, we will think over foraging concepts as they relate to writing (exploration, identification, efficiency, innovation, kinds of attention, resources, and fitness) and, using the oracular principles of observation and receptivity, we will focus on two aspects of writing: characterization (a study of qualities) and assembly (collection).  Participants will be asked to observe, seek, and gather according to weekly missions, and we will develop inquiries for these shared collections.
