Fall Break Reading w/ Aracelis Girmay

This special poetry reading featuring the work of Aracelis Girmay is especially geared towards middle and high school students. Come end your fall break with a reading with this engaging poet! The reading will take place at Tucson Museum of Art.

Aracelis Girmay is the author of the poetry collections Teeth, Kingdom Animalia, and the black maria, and the collage-based picture book changing, changing. She has been awarded the GLCA New Writers Award, the Isabella Gardner Award (BOA Editions), and was a finalist for the National Book Critics Circle Award. She is on the faculty of The School for Interdisciplinary Arts at Hampshire College. Before that, and for several years, Girmay taught community and youth writing workshops.
