With the release of Phantom Hour, James Meetze reads with fellow Ahsahta Press author Jos Charles.

This reading takes place in the Hillman Odeum, outdoors on the south end of the Poetry Center.

James Meetze [metz] is the author of three books of poetry, including Phantom Hour and Dayglo, which was selected by Terrance Hayes for the 2010 Sawtooth Poetry Prize, both published by Ahsahta Press. He is editor, with Simon Pettet, of Other Flowers: Uncollected Poems by James Schuyler (FSG, 2010). His poems have appeared in numerous publications, including A Public Space, Agni, American Letters and Commentary, New American Writing, Prelude, and The Rattling Wall. He teaches creative writing and film studies at Ashford University and, with Ken White, writes for film and television.  

Jos Charles is a trans poet and author of Safe Space (Ahsahta Press, 2016). They are founding-editor of THEM: a trans literary journal. They have writing published (and/or publications forthcoming) with POETRY, Denver Quarterly, Washington Square Review, PEN America, Action Yes, GLAAD, LAMBDA Literary, and elsewhere. Jos Charles received their MFA from the University of Arizona in Tucson where they now reside.
