The Washington Post called it "a new classic of war fiction" and the Wall Street Journal said it was "intelligent, relentlessly paced and savagely funny". It is the winner of the 2016 Pulitzer for fiction.
This year the Closer Look Book Club meets on the second Wednesday of the month at 5 p.m. during the school year for discussion of interesting books, mainly fiction, around the theme Cultural Shifts, New Thinking. To participate in a Book Club conversation, just read the book and join us on the red couches in the lobby of the Poetry Center. No sign-up is necessary.
