Help Spread the POL Love

Please help us share the POL Love by spreading the word about Poetry Out Loud!

Poetry Out Loud is a national program for high-school students and teachers that seeks to foster the next generation of literary readers through recitation and performance. The National Endowment for the Arts and The Poetry Foundation partner with state arts agencies to bring the Poetry Out Loud program to all 50 states and the US territories. The deadline for teachers to sign up and register their school is October 31, 2018.

The Poetry Center is excited to host the 2019 Poetry Out Loud semi-finals for the Southern Region of Arizona. The competition will take place on Saturday, February 23, 2019 from 1:00 pm – 3:30 pm at the University of Arizona Poetry Center.

This exciting event is free and open to the public. Be sure to mark your calendars and join us as we support students competing for placement in the state finals!

We hope to see you there.
