Education Afield: High School Poetry on Walls & Borders

We're sharing this project from our friends over at the Arizona State Museum, who carried it out in collaboration with Tucson high school students & teachers:

In spring 2021, students at Pueblo High School and City High School in Tucson, Arizona wrote these poems at the end of a six-session workshop exploring walls and borders in association with the exhibit A History of Walls: The Borders We Build.

A traveling exhibit featured at ASM in 2020, A History of Walls: The Borders We Build, serves as the foundation and springboard for this exploration. These writing prompts and activities will help you explore ideas and information about border walls with your students.
