Drumroll please ... presenting the K-12 Poetry Contest winners!

This summer, the UA Poetry Center collaborated with Arizona Public Media and the Pima County Public Library on a poetry contest for K-12 students, asking participants to write in response to the question: "What do you want the world to know about how you feel?" While we were honored to read each and every poem that was submitted, the following thirteen poems placed as winners and honorable mentions.

Special thanks to our judges: Chalese "Chay the Poet" Potts, Richard Leis, Gabe Dozal, Teré Fowler-Chapman, Kristen Nelson, and Rachel Mindell; to Lisa M. O'Neill for offering writing workshops in the lead-up to the contest; and to Sarah Gzemski, who designed these digital broadsides. We want these poems to be accessible to everyone, so if you use text files, we're happy to provide them if you get in touch at pceducation@email.arizona.edu.
