Black History Month in the Rare Book Room

On Thursday, February 15, two college classes and one high school group visited the Poetry Center for Black History Month-themed field trips. Instruction and Outreach Librarian Sarah Kortemeier put together a rare book exhibit for these field trips, highlighting literary gems from writers including Paul Laurence Dunbar (for whom Tucson's Dunbar-Spring neighborhood is named), Langston Hughes, Lucille Clifton, Douglas Kearney, Gabrielle Civil, and Gwendolyn Brooks!
