Literary Fiction Book Club - "Mister Monkey" by Francine Prose

Wednesday, November 15, 2017 - 5:00pm to 6:00pm

Mister Monkey, Francine Prose (304 pp.)

“Tender and artful Prose’s novel is a sophisticated satire, a gently spiritual celebration of life … a screwball comedy, a screwball tragedy” - NY Times Book Review

“…strong, humane and funny” - Boston Globe

This discussion is led by Poetry Center docent Marc Goldfeder.

This year the Literary Fiction Book Club meets on one Wednesday per month at 5 p.m. during the school year for discussion of interesting books, mainly fiction, around the theme (Un)conventional Narratives, New Writing.  To participate in a Book Club conversation, just read the book and join us on the red couches in the lobby of the Poetry Center.  No sign-up is necessary.  The Club is free and open to the public, and you’re welcome to participate in as many or as few meetings as you like. For more information, contact poetry@email.arizona.edu.
