Julie Carr is the author of four books of poetry, most recently 100 Notes on Violence, winner of the 2009 Sawtooth Poetry Prize, andSarah-Of Fragments and Lines, a National Poetry Series Selection. Her critical monograph, Surface Tension: Ruptured Time and the Poetics of Desire in Late Victorian Poetry, is forthcoming from Dalkey Archive in 2012. She teaches at the University of Colorado in Boulder and is the co-publisher, with Tim Roberts, of Counterpath Press.
Julie Carr has been collaborating with K.J. Holmes on dance and poetry for over twenty years. Their recent collaboration in K.J.'s piece This is where we are (or take arms against a sea of troubles) will be performed as an excerpt at the Poetry Off The Page symposium at the University of Arizona Poetry Center in May 2011.
