Alberto Álvaro Ríos, First Arizona State Poet Laureate

11/01/2013 - 6:30pm - 7:30pm

The inaugural Arizona State Poet Laureate, Alberto Álvaro Ríos, reads from his work and talks about the public role of poetry. Representatives from local and state government will say a few celebratory words, and the UA Poetry Center will distribute, as a gift to audience members, a broadside featuring a poem by Ríos, designed and published by New Michigan Press. Please join us for this historic event. A sneak peek at the broadside is available here.
