Laynie Browne first began as a Teaching Artist in 1993, for Teachers & Writers Collaborative in New York City, one of the nation’s oldest and best regarded organizations for integrating Creative Writing into K-12 classrooms. Browne has since taught for various programs in New York, Washington and California. Browne is the author of nine books of poetry and one novel. Her most recent books are: The Desires of Letters, The Scented Fox, and Daily Sonnets. Her honors include a National Poetry Series Award and two Gertrude Stein Awards in Innovative American Poetry.
