Family Days

Family Days is a Saturday open house from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. for youth of all ages and their families. Once a month, the stacks of the Center’s world renowned collection of poetry become over-run with youth writing, local music, games, interactive bookmaking workshops, bilingual story times, creative movement activities and other poem-happenings that are designed to inspire youth and their families to explore the world around them through language.

Family Days Spring 2014 Schedule

Spring Dates

March 29

It's something you do from the moment you crack your first smile--now you do it every day, in maybe more ways than you know! Communication is behind our inklings to create, express, to write and connect to one other in all the ways we know how. Get ready for interpreters of many media, secret code breaking, messaging by air and sea, and exploring all things communicative at the March 29th Family Days. We'll see you there!

What Parents are Saying About Family Days:

“My son wrote a poem…and I was very impressed with what he came up with and how he put his words together.”

“What we read continues to expand. Family Days challenges their imagination.”

Thank you to our Family Days sponsors for their generous contributions!
