Shop Talk

Shop Talks take a round-table approach to scholarly investigation of poetic works, resulting in a collegial atmosphere. Each Shop Talk begins with a mini-lecture on the featured author, followed by a conversation about the author and the work. A study packet containing biographical information, excerpts, and criticism is made available for each event, and no advance knowledge of the poet or works discussed is required. Discussions take place on select Tuesdays at 6:00 pm in the Dorothy Rubel Room.
